00 Intake & Deep Dive

Every project starts with establishing a connection with the client to understand their unique story. Adding value to the design by gaining insights through researching, observing, and analysing the architecture, context, unique characteristics, activities, rituals, dreams, and ambitions of the client.

01 Concept Design

Visualizing the analysis to create a look and feel for the client which provides a clear direction and serves as the foundation and guide for the design process.

02 Preliminary Design

In the initial sketches, daily rituals and the flow of movement through the space are integrated into the architectural context. By visualizing these movements and considering architectural features such as orientation, optimal views, natural light entry, and key architectural details, we establish a cohesive design foundation. Combining these insights with colour schemes, product selections, and material samples, we define the starting points for the interior design.

03 Final Design

The design is refined to achieve a balanced and cohesive plan that meets all client requirements. A key element in creating comfortable and energising environments is the strategic use of colour, texture and products that add to the story. Drawings and product sheets are made to give a clear overview for the contractor. In co-creation with the client, choices and interventions are approached analytically, pragmatically, and aesthetically. This phase includes careful coordination with the client, advisors, and the contractor.

04 Realisation

The project is executed by the contractor, with NVDV serving as the aesthetic supervisor and link between client and contractor. Realizing a new environment for human connections, productivity, and harmonious living and working experiences. The views, orientation, colour and material choices, and various functions all synergize to form a cohesive atmosphere. The goal is to tailor each space to its intended use, ensuring a positive impact. This includes thoughtful design of how spaces are connected and the flow of movement from one area to another.

The design concept works as a compass guiding us through the process.
